Time for Five for Friday!

1 - Jaxson & Sarah had a sleepover with us last Friday night. We always love having any of the grandkids over. We had popcorn & a movie and then played games and before we knew it Grandpa was asleep, and it was almost 11:00. Fun times. Next morning, I took Sarah shopping for her birthday. We went to her favorite store at The Gateway!

And she picked out a few of her favorites!!

She's quite a shopper! We had lots of fun!! Next year it's Lunch, Pedicures and the Works!!

2 - Saturday afternoon we were invited to go out to Larry Miller Sports Park and watch the Motocross, Super Bikes and Porsch races. We had lots of fun! It was pretty hot, but there was shade, and cold drinks, so we enjoyed it!! My favorite was the Motocross. The way those kids handle those dirt bikes, flying over those hills, and then racing around the track at top speed is amazing! The little tiny guys on their mini bikes was lots of fun to watch!! What cute kids! I can see Ryker doing that soon!!

We did see Derrin Williams there who was hosting a party to market some new energy drink! (No - not just this poster...he was really there in person) Good Times!!

3 - Tuesday was Election Day! (primaries anyway) I just want to put in my plug for encouraging everyone to show their gratitude for living in this free country, by getting out to vote, for sure, on the next election day in November. It's one way we can have a say on how our country is run, and choose our leaders (even though I feel it's slim pickins this time!) It is discouraging at times, that the choices we have are not exactly what we want in a good leader, but you do have some part in picking the best one.

GOD BLESS AMERICA !!

And since we will be on our cruise next week, during the 4th, have some great fireworks without us! ( My brother Dave puts on a GREAT show!!)

4 - My cute, dare-devil husband took me on a date Wednesday night!
We don't get date nights too often right now, but we slipped in a movie and dinner this week. We had a good time, and saw an ok movie. (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) Not that I'd recommend it to my family. We should have read the ratings better; it surprised us a little. But it was good to have a night out, and a big bag of popcorn & JALAPENOS !! (a rare treat for us lately) Yum !
5 - Yesterday was SARAH'S Birthday !!! Can you believe she is 7 years old? HAPPY BIRTHDAY ~ DARLIN!

We had a fun party and yummy dinner at her house last night! She was adorable! (pictures later) She loves pumpkin pie, so her Mom made that instead of cake! It was so good!!
I LOVE YOU SAR-BEAR!! YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE

FABULOUS FIVE FOR FRIDAY !

This is an idea that I liked so much, that I'm going to copy it! A friend of mine updates her blog on Fridays, and just posts the five most fabulous highlights of her week. I thought I'd like to do that, so I'll start with this week.
1 - The list topper this week, is that Sonia is engaged!! It is sooo Fabulous! Jeff gave her the most beautiful, delicate, so-much-like-Sonia, ring last weekend, and they have plans to be married on August 2nd! She is so happy, and we are all so happy for her!! Jaxson & Sarah are very excited as well. They love Jeff already, and I have a feeling that this little family was meant to be! We can't wait for it to be official! You'll be hearing more about
~ Mr. & Mrs. Jeffrey Lodwick~
2 - We had an 80th Birthday Bash for my Dad at their pool, last Saturday! It was perfect weather for swimming and a BBQ! The highlight of the day was the DVD that my brother Dave has been lovingly laboring over for months. He did a Fabulous job, and we all can't wait to get our own copy! Dad loved it!!!

3 - Joey, Emilie & Tessa came to spend the weekend with us, for the party and Father's Day. We love having them up. Between Joey preparing to teach this fall at Enterprise High, and all of the football clinics he and the Enterprise staff & team are doing this summer, our visits are few and far between. We cherish each one! Thanks for coming up you guys! And as always, we had a Fabulous time! LOVE YOU !!!

4 - Roger and I are having some success in our lifestyle change program. He has lost twice as much weight as I have ( ain't it always that way!!), but all is well. We expect to stay on track for a while with the new strength training program our trainer Rocky (what a great kid!) has put us on, and it should help us to eventually reach our goals! We'll just keep pluggin' along, and eventually we will both feel Fabulous!!

5 - Yesterday was our Annual Boyer Company Lagoon Day. We had a blast! It's so much fun, as the grandkids get older, to watch them enjoy the rides! The biggest Kid of all though is Roger!! He loves all those scarey, wild, way-high-up-in-the-air-rides that I hate so much! This year the guys, (Roger, Bryan & Lindsay) decided to go all out and fly over Lagoon on the Sky Coaster! What a crazy bunch of guys - but they absolutely loved it! They said it was Fabulous! Us girls, well, we just stood on the ground shaking our heads at them, praying that they would make it out alive!

First picture - The Ride
2nd - Getting in gear (don't they look adorable in their aprons?)
3rd - Taking the elevator of Death! Up, up & now there is no return!
4th - GERONIMO!!!!!
5th - Sailing over rooftops, with the greatest of ease!! Hi Guys !!!!
