Just a few thoughts, cause it seems I don't have time anymore to do this much. I love to read everyone else's though, cause I'm such a busy body that I like to hear
what's going on with everyone!
Congratulations to Kristy & Ben ! Love that that is official now, and I "couldn't be happier, la la" for you! October is a great month to get married. It will be beautiful ! Love you guys ~
Nice job on the house Joe and Em! I know you've been busy painting and spreading dirt, and working, and Football camping, and playing with Tessa, and watering your Mom and Dad's plants (Em), and being prego! Whew!! You guys wear me out, and I can't wait to get down there for a week, and spend some R & R with you! I have to tell you though, I am NOT looking forward to the heat..........it's been hot enough here for me!
We had a couple of sleep overs....first with Owen and Faith (Happy Birthday Lindsay) and then with Ryker and Ethney (Happy Anniversary Vicki & Bryan) Those times are always fun!
We just finished our huge 5 generation Jackman Reunion up at the Ashton's Ranch is Wallsburg. It's alway a blast, but this time me and my bros we in charge, and it took alot out of me. Lots of work!! Glad it's over.......but still had a great time! I didn't take my camera, cause I knew I wouldn't have a chance to take pictures, so....Vicki? Dave? Post some pictures! I know you took alot.
Kim Bott and her daughter Brooklyn, and son Seth have been staying at our house since Thursday. Brooke plays on a softball team that was playing in a tournament in Salt Lake This weekend. Rather than drive back to Brigham after games at midnight, and have to get up at 4 in the am to make it here the next day for games, they stayed with us for 2 nights. We got a chance to go to one on Thursday night at 9:30. It was a blast, and the girls played really well, and won that one. They lost there first one on Saturday morning though and it was over for them. What a bunch of great girls! It was fun.
I read Jessica's post about "change", and could really relate! That is so true Jess - one thing that is constant in our lives is change, and I haven't always been happy about it, but I do know one thing........it's always for our good. Even though we might not agree right now. Our lives bring us changes that are easy, and changes that are very hard. When you plan out your life you never imagine that some of the things that are changed in your life, would be in the plan, but I think the Lord knows what we need, and changes things to help us accomplish those things. I would never have know that two of my kids would have to experience divorce, or have to raise children alone, I never would have chosen that I would loose my Mom at a young age and not have her in my life, or that I would have the awesome experience of a daughter having one member of her eternal family come from a land far away to become a part of us. We have so blessed ! Never would have guessed that our son would find happiness in a little po-dunk town like Enterprise, and be led to such a beautiful companion and daughter, because of his situation at that time or that Rog and I would love to go and spend time there with them, as much as we do. ( It's mostly the people, but the place is wonderful!) I know there will be many more unexpected changes in my life, and that hopefully, I will be ready and willing to face them. Thanks Jess - for joggin' my noggin!
We met Vicki & Bryan at the show last night, and saw Harry Potter. It was good and entertaining. It just reminded me that it has been quite a qhile since I read that, and really had to think to remember things.
Roger took the girls on their annual shopping spree this morning. They met for breakfast, and then went shopping. This year he invited all the little girls to join them. I'm sure they are having a blast. Jaxson spent time with me, and after he mowed our lawn, and we went to breakfast at Sunshine with Kim and her kids.......................we took a little drive over to Full Throttle Sports in Centerville. A little birdie told us that Deron Williams would be there signing autographs, and we thought we'd try our luck! It was Fun!!

Diane, your comments about my 'change' post brought tears to my eyes...Change does make us who we are. Thanks!
